These classes will take you through gentle and targeted poses suitable for postpartum bodies (and minds). This is a great time for you to connect back with your body and spend some quality time with baby!
We will focus on developing core strength and stability, with particular emphasis on strengthening the back, abdomen and pelvic floor (because we don’t want to have to cross our legs with every sneeze *wink*), as well as stretching the neck, shoulders and back. Throughout the class, you can include baby in each movement or simply have baby close by. Babes are welcome to cry, laugh, poop and sleep! For ages 6 weeks to super mobile!
Classes are held at 2739 Murray Street, Port Moody (upper level studio at Innovative Fitness, across from Rocky Point Park). Programs run back to back and prices are pro-rated for late entries.

Your ‘yoga chaperone’ for Babe & Me Yoga
I began my Yoga journey after taking my first yoga class in 1997. I fell in love with the practice and my passion grew. I completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program in 2005, which followed with training in Kids Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Madhuri’s Ayurveda Yoga. In 2016 I completed Leila Stuart’s 800h Yoga Therapy program, and I am now a Registered Yoga Therapist with International Association of Yoga Therapists.
I believe that through yoga we begin to understand and feel true contentment, and consequently we can understand and live in harmony inside ourselves and with others, naturally making an improvement to our world. I would describe my style of yoga as combining compassion with awareness, ease and strength in equal measures. I focus on the individual’s overall wellbeing, placing an equal emphasis on the physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. When I am teaching, I strive for my students to find balance on all these levels, providing them with the tools that they can use in their daily lives off the mat.
My passion is to share the healing and positive effects yoga has had on my life, in hopes that it will have a similar effect amongst all of my students.
