Family Yoga

Bowling? Swimming? Movies? What do you do for family time? Our Family Yoga classes are the perfect way to unplug, connect and spend quality-time together, Kukoon-Style! It’s time together made easy!

Created for families of all sizes and abilities, this 75 mins is packed with laughter, touch, curiosity and, of course, YOGA! We start by warming up, then move onto connection games, yoga adventures, music/song and imaginative stories. This will include traditional, creative and acrobatic movements, while integrating Asana (poses), Pranayama (breathing) and Dhyāna (meditation). Classes are geared towards children ages 3-10, but all ages are welcome! Our community classes are the BEST way to connect your magnificent people.

 

Classes run on the last Sunday of each month from 2:30pm – 3:45pm

Backpack Buddies

We are proud to be partners with Backpack Buddies. Backpack Buddies exists to fill the weekend hunger gap for children in Metro Vancouver. They provide a backpack of food on Friday afternoon full of meals and snacks for the weekend, ensuring that children return to school on Monday morning fed and ready to learn. At Backpack Buddies, they encourage the natural generosity of young people by involving kids in fundraising and volunteering efforts. To find out more, click here.

Your ‘yoga chaperones’ for KiDS Yoga

Hey ho, let’s go! My name is Aubrey and I’m so thrilled to be your Kids Yoga Guide. How can we teach young minds Compassion? Focus. Trust. Peace. Even Acceptance (of the good & the bad).

I became a Kids Yoga Guide because I have discovered that through the 3 elements of YOGA (Movement, Breath and Meditation), these life tools can be learned!

I can’t wait to share them with you and your littles! I have two young children of my own and some of my favourite time spent with them is on the mat exploring the wonders of yoga. In my classes, we will explore, play, move and breathe in new and powerful ways! I look forward to meeting you, and your kiddos, one day soon.

I am Lexie, mother of two intelligent young girls and owner/operator of KidsBKids childcare. I’ve been working as an educator for over 10 years. I am also a certified Rainbow KiDS Yoga Teacher so have loads of tools in my kit to share with you and the littles.

I feel incredibly fortunate to combine my passion for yoga along with my love for children.

Off the mat you can find me in nature. I enjoy exploring local trails with my family and two pups. I intend on bringing my appreciation for the outdoors into my classes, through mindful sensory play. Get ready to indulge in a beautiful bonding experience with you and your child while exploring the wonders of yoga. I look forward to meeting your family soon.

Hello families! My name is Aditi. My grandmother first introduced me to yoga and I have been in love ever since. I took my first teacher training at Tandava Yoga Institute in Kelowna, British Columbia. Since then, I’ve completed several additional certifications, including Prenatal/Postnatal and Kids Yoga classes. I also have additional training and experience in leading Rad Mobility, Barre, Family Yoga and Fitness Classes. With a strong emphasis on alignment and tuning to the body’s own wisdom, I guide all levels to acknowledge the individual needs and aim for mindful movements.

As a Teacher, I can create a relaxed and safe environment for students to experience the benefits of a balanced yoga practice.

I believe every mother’s journey is unique and should be celebrated. My second child, Om, was born with a rare skin disorder. Through the powerful teachings of yoga, I found a place to heal, relieve release and grow as a parent. I very much look forward to sharing space with you and your children one day soon!
