These classes combine the elements of a birth class fused with safe yoga practices for all stages of pregnancy. Each class is themed with empowering topics such as Managing Fear, Owning Your Birth Space, Building Trust, Surrendering to the Sensations, Combating Pain and more. We delve deep into the common emotional + mental struggles during pregnancy while moving in a safe + therapeutic way to ensure you leave every class feeling bountiful in your mind, body and spirit. This is more than just a yoga class, way more! Join us weekly or drop in from time to time. After baby is born, I support you through the 4th trimester with a weekly mommy-only class that focuses on core/pelvic floor restoration and strengthening. It’s very common to experience weakening in the core and pelvic floor after your birth. You just housed a human for the last nine months and all that extra pressure and weight inevitably takes a toll on the “bits”. Learn how to properly engage your core, connect to your pelvic floor and strengthen your “mommy centre strong”. Because you don’t want to continue to have to cross your legs before you sneeze, right? **wink**. Class is designed for all females of all ages and abilities. All the Juicy Bits

Hi! I’m Salina, a wife, doula, yoga teacher, and mother of three. I have practiced yoga for over two decades and, after the birth of my first daughter in 2011, decided to pursue my passion for teaching it. My personal journey through studying and teaching yoga has led me to develop a specialized yoga program for expectant mothers. These classes are a safe environment where you can develop deep movement, connect with your breath and challenge yourself before the big day! I hope to meet you one day soon.

More Details

What to Bring

Bring a water bottle and also a towel/blanket to pull in for comfort, should you need it. Also, don't forget your mat. I'll have an extra one on hand if you forget, as we all do from time to time. The other prop that's super helpful, but not mandatory, is a hard foam yoga block. These hard foam blocks are great to help you extend reach and support you, making the poses all the more accessible. Again, the blocks are not necessary, but super helpful to have.

What to Expect

If you've ever taken a class with me in the past, you know that I like to keep it light and fun! Even if you have never practiced yoga before, these classes will make you feel connected in your mind, body and breath. There is no expectation that you do it perfectly, just move in a way that feels beautiful in each moment.

Location + Parking

We are located in the multipurpose room at the Saanich Neighborhood Place: Child and Family Centre (3120 Tillicum Rd, Victoria BC). There is ample parking out front.

Late Arrivals

If you're running late, don't worry. Enter as quietly as possible.

Missed Class Policy

Missed classes cannot be made up in future sessions. If it is an extenuating circumstance and you cannot attend your prepaid classes, please reach out. Thank you for your understanding as running a program successfully means I cannot issue refunds for holidays and sicknesses. If you know in advance of any classes you will miss, please let me know and I will prorate you prior to the session start date.
